Gorgeous hand embroidered cashmere wrap! Nothing more elegant and classy than the hand embroidered stoles of Kashmir! A hook stitch is primarily used to create dazzling paisleys and rich vine patterns. OOAK. Guaranteed to enhance any outfit of yours.
Kashmir is known for its luxurious wools and spectacular embroideries. Interestingly, most of these karigars, or hand laborers, are men! I’ve been to Kashmir twice, and seen these talented artisans at work, smoking hookahs in between stitches. Colorful skeins of yarn can be seen hanging on the walls. Broken tv running bans of fuzzy gray disconnect going unnoticed by the embroiderers. Kashmiri tea, different from Indian chai, is made from saffron and almonds, half sipped and left cool and forgotten. 74″ x 29″

This is one of those jackets with a story behind it. The black hand loomed cotton-wool jacket has sleeves to wear your heart on. They belong to a dowry bag, from once upon a time. A young tribe girl had created a cotton sack for her trouseau. This is what remains. I upcycled these hand quilted patchworked bits from this tote bag that seemingly a mouse had gotten to, save for these bits. Too precious and special to toss out! The gold gilded and mirrored pocket hails from the Sindhi side of Pakistan: hand embroidered Mukha work. Hand printed lime green cotton lining, with fancy boho chic sparkling buttons. One of a kind, 40″ chest, 36.5″ L. Size Small.

This exceptional Quanyin Coat is a rare example of exquisite embroidery, hailing from the Swaat valley. Some say this high quality of wool and handwork is queenly, and I have to agree. Black wool base with maroon, crimson, rust & cream embroidery create fine geometric motifs on the hem of the coat. The cut is a drop dolman 3/4 sleeve. Lined with a rich ombre brocade silken cloth. Trimmed with a mongolian lamb collar. Collar is stitch fixed on the jacket. A true one of a kind. Pockets, button front, size Medium. 42″ chest; 41″ L
