The Druzy & Sparkle Necklace is definitely one of a kind. It's 28" long, with a 4" pendant drop. Many of the faceted crystal and gemstone beads in this pendant are electroplated which gives them an iridescent finish.

Druzy comes from the German word 'druse' which means geode. A geode is a hollow space within a stone that looks like a magical cavern of little crystals. The geological process that forms the layer of crystals in or on the rock, occurs when water brings minerals onto a rock's surface. Evaporation of the water causes cooling and the minerals left behind form crystals on top of the rock.

Not all druzy stones are quartz. Druzy can be any kind of mineral found in a plate-like form, such as garnets, calcite, dolomite and malachite. Druzy can help harmonize a group of people to work together toward a common goal, it can also help relieve stress and promote relaxation.
