We didn't find this at an Afghan archaeological dig, but someone must have! A fantastical pendant made from the punt of a wine bottle, in very old vintage glass. Surely it had been buried underground for many, many years as its rough calcified texture beautifies the natural aging process. This excavated relic has a large rectangle bail of decorative silver, adorned with a faceted oval ruby. The necklace is composed of a variety of vintage glass beads, mostly African trade beads, roughed up by the sea, salts, earth & lots of wear. We love the unusual grouping of earthy colors. Andrea added a perfectly matched batik ribbon hand-crafted in India, for the adjustable tie. One of its kind, a nod to artisans and craftspeople all over the world.
