KANDAHAR COAT

This fabulous coat is named after the exotic city of Kandahar, the cultural, historical, and spiritual home of the Pashtun population.  And this coat is an exemplary representation of the amazing Afghan embroidery found in this region.  The upper part of this dress is upcycled and reimagined from a vintage tribal Afghan dress.  You will find a labyrinth of tightly embroidered rich rusts and curry colors mixed in with silver metallic snake chain embroidery.  Pretty textile puffs are found on the lapel, back and cuffs.  The easy dolman structure of the chest and sleeves make for an effortless and chic fit.  The exquisite embroidery intensifies on the sleeves with forest green, rich rust, curry and black cross or 4-wind motifs.  A flattering, deep V-neck leads to a single bling button closure on a slight empire waistline.   A gorgeous upcycled silk kantha is worked into the bodice, sleeve and back.  A fantastic rust and curry buffalo check is used on the piping, skirt lapel and hem which gives this coat a playful exoticness.  Additionally, a gorgeous hand-block floral cotton print in deep earthy shades of cumin, forest green, and sienna add a romantic dimension.  Size Large with long sleeves and a 48" chest.  OOAK.  Side vent pockets.  This coat will elevate your wardrobe and will dress up your look in an effortless way.
