This vibrant, upcycled embroidered textile has been given a new life on this juicy, plum wine jacket! This small to medium sized layering piece is structured with taste and unique detailing. The deep red wine, hand-loomed cotton and silk textile is derived from the Swat region of Pakistan. If you look closely, you will see the tiny red and black weave that gives the color its depth. Soft, white stitches lightly adorn the sleeves and bottom half of the back.
In this traditional textile you will find small, round mirrors that reflect the light in a stunning manner. Around them are a spring palette of carefully hand-stitched embroidery. It displays bright silver, magenta, fire red, and shammock green. The shapes consist of diamonds, circles, and rectangles. This same embroidery graces the cuffs, tying in the front panels with it. Pockets, flower buttons, magenta trim, and an adjustable tie around the waist are more thoughtful details that went into the making of this gorgeous jacket.
